You crossed the pale
Into my world
An angel bright
With wings unfurled
To dance so lightly
Upon the tempest winds
That wreathed the heart
Which they defend
The seeds were cast
Both far and wide
And upon the fates
Did hope abide
Many were lost to
The savage gale
Battered and tossed
Too worn and frail
Some were left in
The dormant night
Far from the touch of
Your cherished light
But one lone seed
Found its way
To my fallow heart
And there it lay
And the sweetness of
Your loving caress
Set the seed to root
Within my breast
And how quickly did
The leaves unfold
To fill my heart
As love took hold
So herein lies my
Most ardent plea
To the one that has
Set my passions free
I need you like the
Trees need rain
So would you hold me true
And there ever remain?
