How You Heal Poem by Lydia Brown

How You Heal

Knowing your worth is so vital as it's always been when you go through things that weigh on you. You carry a lot of pain and despair around you; it's hard to find happiness in the simple moments. It's in those times that you need to rely on yourself and know that you've done nothing wrong and that you're okay. It's feelings that others have put on you that are making you feel this way. It would help if you succeeded in getting through this; it's not your reality; it's theirs. You must know that in this life, you always have people who care; love is internal; you show it because you have it for yourself; that's how you give it to others, and sharing that with people who are hurting can help them feel something. Give them positivity help them to find their smile. So when someone hurts you, remember it's not how you reacted to it when they caused you the pain. It's how you focus on yourself and heal, so your sanity you will gain.
