Human Versus Flower Poem by Arun Maji

You must have another human as your friend.
Yet, it's sad
you are hurt only by human.

This is why you must make
solitude your friend, book your friend,
music your friend, poetry your friend,
river your friend too.

They are kind of friends
who would never hurt you.

If your friends and family abandon you-
would you stop living?
would you stop being happy?

Make flower your friend
but you must not give up on human either.
Human is as fragrant as flower.
Few cruel people do not make
this humanity cruel.

Can you call a speck of dust
an earth?
