Humanity Poem by Nathaniel DeMay

Humanity

One step back, two steps forward.
Impossible to the pendelum,
but still it dreams.
I shall never give up
Even if I fall down,
because to fall implies that I was standing.
I strive to belive.
Unlike the pessimist,
a fool above most.
Live to love.
uncomprehendeble to all but humans,
and yet we do not.

Be I the jester, the heir, or the poor man,
will it matter to you?
Titles in the fire,
yet still they live.
Time the illusion and clock the wizard,
they cannot command the immune.
Should death be the void,
than I shall not fill it.
I live to love,
am I still human?
