The spread of the pandemic, faster than fire
Stunned humanity, rulers n gripped all with scare.
Grotesque, untimely demise, root cause of fear,
Atheist intellectuals too took dips in solomon prayers.
Lockdowns, curfew the tools to safeguard human,
Rendered millions jobless with woos of migrant labors.
Horrible their plight for return to the native soil,
Determination to travel on foot, hundreds of miles.
Neither job nor income and frightening hunger,
Witnessing of screaming hungry off springs,
May be kids, lads or adolescents and old parents,
The magnitude of turmoil seemed infinite.
Humanity was besieged by pandemic no doubt,
Lockdown and curfew were tools to it counter.
With halted economy too for rescue rushed rulers,
Relief measures ensued with empathy and fore sight.
Doctors, paramedics n health workers militia
Rose to occasion and fought with great valor.
Aided by civic n policing and scientist fraternity
That toiled round the clock and invented vaccine.
Humanity was besieged too by state in the process
For controlling the deadly virus and it's catastrophe.
The Chieftain of the nation n his crafty mission
Had besieged humanity on grounds humanitarian.
