Humility Brings The Light Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Humility Brings The Light

The clouds roll in, they darken my way,
My troubles loom, they steal my day.
A heavy heart, a worried mind,
These problems chase, they leave me blind.

But then the sun, it breaks on through,
A 'good day' dawns, the world feels new.
Those same old worries, small they seem,
Like fading whispers in a dream.

Oh, if I could, with all my might,
Bring 'good day' magic, pure and bright,
To times when shadows start to creep,
And all my sorrows run so deep.

But wait! A thought, it lights my soul,
A gentle answer, making me whole.
No need to hide, no need to flee,
A simple prayer can set me free.

For humility, a precious grace,
Can bring a smile upon my face.
It lifts me up, it takes me high,
Beyond the clouds that fill the sky.

A gift from strength, beyond my own,
A seed of peace, that can be sown.
Just ask for it, and it is near,
To calm my heart and dry each tear.

Humility, it brings the light,
And sets my weary spirit right.
Accepting all, the ebb and flow,
My human self, I'll learn to know.
And find the joy in simply being,
Humility, my truest seeing.
