Humming A Tune Poem by Victoria Potter

Humming A Tune

Rating: 5.0

Slipped off the tip of my tongue
I don't know why, why
Rolling for a song to be tied
In a basement I found
A melody of mixtures and highs
Swirling in the air, there
Notes to words I can't bear
Dripping like honey
Cemented deep in a core
I remember it well, well
Singing the song, there I fell
To sleep
