Humming Bird - Poem by John Muthoni

Sing me a song little bird
Raise your vice and sing
Like a violin sooth my ears
Make them fall in love
With you humming bird

Flap your wings in rhythm
Follow the beat of your heart
I wait in anxiety
Like a groom i wait
For you humming bird

Be slow but not too slow
Say every word that i hear
Add love in it my dear
For sure you will get me
Loving you humming bird

Be precise my bird
Make me meditate
Perch on my shoulders
To whisper a song for me
Humming bird
