Humming Birds Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Humming Birds

Humming birds

I drive in down-town where the lights
Dazzle and flicker both blind and bright
I am a dandelion and my eyes humming birds
they fly while stuck
to skin and flesh and the hair
to the toes
in and out of clothes, pants, skirt
cleavage, inside shirts
all over
everywhere
include butts on bikes dancing waltz
and running in the tights with sweat
on their chest and backsides, under-arms
and the hugs for goodbye
and tricks for a kiss
sweet, warm
pretend touch of lips incident
and the ones innocent
in front of the shops on roadsides
half-drunks on steps and pavements
manikins, dumb and deaf
with whispers, with signals
talk of love, devotion, compassion
implicit, explicit

And in mind…”any sex? ”
