Humpty Dumpty Poem by Mellisa Salazar

Humpty Dumpty

Falling apart
you weren't around
Screaming your name
You didn't hear a sound
Reaching for you
Your hands in a fist
The rejection I feared
You finally hissed
Into my darkness I fell
And I couldn't get out
Your strength was holding me up
Until it wasn't
And I drowned
