Impermanence Poem by Mellisa Salazar

Impermanence

I tattooed our love on my wrist
To show you that I meant it
I thought that maybe if I wore you
On the outside of me my sleeve
To show the world I loved you
Then maybe I'd believe
But every day it never stayed
Somehow the ink it fades away
