Hunger Of Hearts Poem by Leon Moon

Hunger Of Hearts

welcome the warm explosion
all encompassing
embrace

outside the window
of his carriage
pipes are scattered
the sky lies shattered
innocence is executed

the superficial tide seeps
into his soul

he lacks too much truth
to summon up the war

each day rising
a night of drowning
in the unbridled shore

somewhere between
dream and stone

soldiers fight intoxicated
unsure of the god they swore
and commissioned to survive

amongst the rubble, in the wasted
ruins, claimed by the colours
of the clothes they wore

the new age offers nothing
emotion is betrayal
causes are tainted
deluded honesty
false loyalty
hypocrisy
morality

play-things of the damned
prevailing what right must stand
inclusivity; diversity; identity; equality;

there is no better friend
than the man who scams

smiles package his plans
fortune rests in his hands

truth is a by-product
of your trance

there is no greater threat
than unquestioned defence

unearned respect;
instinctual requisite;

teachings taught to reject
the mind they protect

from one voice

mass-scale rapes
invent our rivals

sanctity; survival
the guaranteed arrival

the present deprivation
of the most basic salvation
crafting the hunger of hearts
incurable
natural

the price tag of burials.
brains obsess to possess
and ingest
the internal outside
themselves

a man is dangerous
once his anguish is boring
any antidote is refused

each solution is personal;
each result is terminal

regardless of change
and the wind
defacing

limitless possibility;
god's favourite comedy;
the anatomy of autonomy;
the untouched philosophy;

misunderstood
ensnared by the invincible cliche
"whether we become or do not see
it doesn't matter, still, we are free"

night haunts the day
as
life hunts decay

neither alters the shape
of appetite

death's cutlery
the food we chew
emaciated
sanctioned desire

proclamations
adoration
never quite knowing
where you stand

refuse what is served

commandeers steer
mock crucifixions
public executions
preserving
the grand illusion

a seer's solution
fossilised dissolution
incubated amusement

the con's last fusion.

the same enemies
split
fighting
for different reasons

the closer the relation
the greater the rival

sanctified
confusion
inherited
collusion

a joke
to diffuse
eternity

the different forms
of emptiness

each an instrument
we use to define ourselves

something from nothing
the paradox
encapsulating everything

the inherent bind
forever freeing
us from freedom

the hunger of hearts
the faithless god
the unknown cause
the marching towards
the inherent clause
the bloated retort
the will to distort
the bought out thought
the reason we fought
the insatiable morgue
the makers of law
the wisdom of war
the limits we gnaw
the preacher we scar
the traditions we are
the hunter we starve
the tying of days
the prey we praise
the pillow above
the evened out one
the never enough
a not yet begun
sated love.
