Hungry I Was When I Met Him - Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

hungry i was when i met him
and hungry i always will stay
if the love that i have for my man
is ignored in a constant way

there's no joy left inside of me
my good years are wasting away
young i was when i met him
i'm just getting starved out with age
