Trying hard not to break
Trying to hold back these tears
But when I think about how you've hurt me over the years

I get so broken-hearted
Wish we could go back to where we started
Before the time that we parted

Praying hard one day you'll realize what you've done to me
Praying hard you'll apologize, especially to me
But also to the people I love, my family and my friends
But now, at least, they know my pain's come to an end

Thought i needed you to keep me alive
But it was you who kept me from living all this time
