Hybrid Lily Poem by Heather Taylor

Hybrid Lily

hybrid lily oh where did you come from?
your beauty helps to comfort me when i am lonesome.
your bright colors passionately intertwine;
if it wouldn't kill you, i would pick you to make you mine.
i'm infatuated with you in every possible way;
you're better than a rose on any given day!
something about you just seems to draw me near.
maybe it's because when you leave me i know you'll back this time next year.
thank you hybrid lily for making me whole.
at first sight there was a piece of my heart that you forever
stole.
