Hymn To The Trinity Poem by C Richard Miles

Hymn To The Trinity

Holy Father, we adore You,
Lord of all the Universe.
Gather all the nations to You,
Though in unity, diverse
As they bow the knee before You,
All their Alleluias for You
In each language to converse.

Holy Jesus, we adore You:
Born for us, as Virgin birth,
In a lowly stable, bore You,
God in man upon the earth.
In soft, swaddling white apparel
At Your gentleness we marvel,
Graceful, filled with childlike mirth.

Holy Spirit, we adore You,
Breathing life on us below.
Help us listen, we implore You
As You light the scriptures, so
We can learn a vital lesson
And discern a true impression
When Your mission tells us, “Go! ”

Holy Trinity, compounded
One in Three and Three in One.
Whose eternal love surrounded
Us, through all the life we’ve run.
Keep us safely, with Your blessing,
As we march on, heav’nward pressing,
Where we’ll meet You round Your Throne.

To the Father, Son and Spirit
Sacrifice of praise be done.
We’ll eternal life inherit
Though Your victory hard won.
Trinity of Love and Power,
Give the gifts that can empower
Us, to worship You alone.
