I... Poem by Ted Steger

I...

I live to give faith to the faithless,
To stir hope in the hopeless,
To be the breath that leaves them breathless,

I dream to let my,
Screams
Of
Life
Scorch the dead rooftops of the world,
So that maybe even the deaf will hear my call..

I live in to breath IT in,
out
and
in again,

To let it eyes fill with the certain Light,
That penetrates the darkness,
Of these strange hours,

And to never serve men.
To never waste your hours,
Serve only the things that if there was a fire,
or flood
or hurricane
or death
They would only stand stronger.

Suck the being from Life,
Live each moment screaming wild,
For the greatest journeys are never measured in miles.
