I Am Poem by Kay Allen

I Am

Rating: 5.0

It is pointless
I see
to keep trying
living a life that doesn't want me
anymore
the heavens have opened up
their arms
for me
and
I am ready
to be recieved though
I know
there is more work to be done here
but
I am tired

I can't keep crying tears
of lonliness
of battles lost
of broken hearts
of bitterness

yet I do

the heavens
I see the clouds have a chair
waiting
and
I am ready to sit

but before I go
I try
one
last
time

yet......

nothing works
so

I am ready to go

'I Am' by Kay Allen is a sad, moving, and fresh poem. I liked it, but I hope that you realize you are needed and that as you said there is more work to be done here.
