I Am A Man Poem by Ishmael Mabhiza

I Am A Man

I know that I am a man and will sustain
No pain no gain, in this terrain
With strains no brain can sustain
Things that we ponder on, need us to bargain

To my love I run and I find the sweet
Fresh, honorable and prossive tweet
My heart with her are one as we knit
Though far but yet so near with a twit

My love my heart with words
Barred by the global wall of distance and wards
With more space cant reach the other part
Like a sliced body in half and veins discomfited with the art

Of the world and the space in sart
Rolling to reach you like a cart;
Drawn by a pair of snails with no art
But my own strength for her is not a part

Of love and that of compassion
They withnot a small passion
They push without any axon
Slowly drawing in a parten

Aye, I am a man, mutable are my wits and my thoughts,
Ne'er will I scream- to show my strength I will stream in parts
