I Am A Poet - Poem by Arun Maji

I am in love,
I'm madly in love with
each and every thing of This Universe.

Comfort, is not comforting to me.
Because I am,
Too drawn
To the rivers dance.
Too immersed
In the flower's fragrance.
Too drowned
In nature's beauty.
I am

I am lost even on my way home.

I wake up late.
I twist
I turn
In bed at night.
I feel pain.
Like a dying river.

My hair is undone.
Clothes dirty.
I never bother
To see myself in the mirror.

But I see myself,
Floating with clouds,
Flying with chirping birds.

I often
Speak to the moon.
Whisper to rivers.
Make love to flowers.

I am insane.
For insanity is abode of my sanity.
I am eccentric.
For eccentricity is abode of my serenity.

Call me a freak.
Call me obsessed.
Call me anything you wish.
I am what I am.
A lover.
A lover of each and every thing of this universe.
I fall in love.
With each and every thing of this world.

I fall in love.
With all I see,
With whomever I see.

I only love, but I never hurt.

Love is what I am made of.
Love is all that I have.

Sadness of the sky
Brings tears to my eyes.
Cracks of earth
Tears my heart apart.
Perhaps you don't know why.
Do you know why?

I am a poet.

The link between earth and divinity.
