I Am A Vegetarian Poem by cahen thrips

Years ago I reached an agreement
with Mother Nature and she
reached an agreement with me

I'll not eat one of her creatures
if they'll do the same for me

So far that pact is holding good
as I always knew it should
though I'd keep at least a mile
between me and a crocodile

I've lost not one of my vital bits
and the reason for this I suspect
is to be found in our cordial agreement -
and maintaining mutual respect
