I Am A Woman Poem by mohd shujaath ali

I Am A Woman

Rating: 5.0

I am a woman, a part of man but I not
Every day I woke with a hope that he
Might change but he not, my duly is
Bond with him that’s I like not.

Thousands of days and nights with him
I spend; I have no more strength to bear
He twists my waist and abused. Pinned me
Slapped me kicked me and harshly beat

He is man of lustful, cruel, and wicked
Neither sleeps nor allows me to sleep at bed;
Physical-emotional he hurts, hurts my
Body, hurts my feelings hurts my faith;

After all am a woman brown, tall, slim
With a bone check; solitude, suffering
Pain are my friends; even am lonely woman

Reddish eyes, long hair with an ugly face
Drinking –liquor, short-temper is his
Wild behaviors, he looks like an ape

My blood froze for hard labor
Under Hot sun, I never ate
Neither full belly nor enjoyed a day;

Every evening brings mourning in my life
His foot sounds make my heart beat high;
He shows his macho on his depressed wife

I felt happy to remember marriage days
It was so joyful; we were newly married-mates
At nights he use to bring apples, orange, grapes
Loved me, hugged me, cared for me in decent way:

I am living with a hope he might change
Again, and bring again, hug again
Loves me again and again
