I Am Alone Poem by Claire Abbott

I am alone,
its official,
I have no-one but myself.

I am alone,
but I am not lonley,
I have myself.

I have time for me,
To do the things I want to do,
To see what I want to see.

Now I can be who I want to be.
Finally I feel like I am nearly me.

Its took some time,
A sea of tears,
Lots of sadness,
Many fears,
But now I am here,
They all drift away,
I can see a sunny day.

So when people ask if I get lonley,
Tell them no, don't be silly,
How can I be alone when I have myself for company.
