I Am An Orphan Poem by Inayat Ali Malagi

I Am An Orphan

Rating: 5.0

I never heard the lullaby at night,
Never slept besides my mother.
I never ate food prepared by mother,
For, I am an orphan! I am an orphan!

I never heard the sweet abuse,
Never feared my parents.
And never made them proud,
For, I am an orphan! I am an orphan!

Still I never fel myself alone,
If I feel, I become sad.
Stars in the sky are my parents,
For, I am an orphan! I am an orphan!

No religion, no identity I have,
My body will be sent to hospital on my death
I will become a moral to youth,
For, I am an orphan! I am an orphan!

Verily, a great poem that describes the mental and social condition of an orphan. Indeed! You have a great insight into others' feelings and emotions. Verily, you will be an admiring poet.
