I am done with you now
I do not dream of you
And my heart no longer aches when I think of you
I can walk away from you and not care what happens
Beyond a sense of vague concern
Such as I would feel for an old classmate
Or a cousin's cousin that I met once or twice
There is nothing
I do not even care about your wellbeing

I look at you now
And see flaws
The shape of your face is funny
Your smile is lopsided
Your voice familiar
Like a song I heard when I was seven
But can’t remember the words for

The break in your voice
Does not twist my insides
Your words
No longer pull at my heart
Your eyes no longer fascinate me
You are a man now
Just a boy-man I knew
A long long time ago
