I Am Going Poem by Peter S. Quinn

I Am Going

I am going and I am going
somewhere to dark deep,
I had time in life's growing
and some flowers I did keep.

But now my leaves are falling
on to winters darker deep,
for dreams are again calling
my moments back to sleep.

We are here just a short while
each of us to grow and give,
in our ways and good time style
the ways we go on and live.

Nothing comes easy here
in these times passing by,
we keep growing give and share
until the moments we die.

I'm just like a summer flower
in everything I have to give,
but now is late going hour
for memories to share and revive.

Moments in time passes on
nothing stays for too long,
all of a sudden time is gone
into a poem or another song.
