I Am Here Poem by GODWIN OMEIZA

I Am Here

I Am Here

I am here
where the wind hums in a voice only silence understands,
where the earth remembers every footstep,
even the ones that never stayed.

I am here
in the breath between sunrise and shadow,
in the echo of names whispered
by lips too weary to call them aloud.

I am here
where the rivers carry lost prayers,
where the moon leans close enough
to listen to unspoken things.

I am here
not a ghost, not a memory,
but a pulse in the rhythm of now,
a flicker of light in the hush of tomorrow.

I am here
and I am staying.
