Valentine's
Some days wear love like a second skin,
soft as the hush between heartbeats,
bold as the sky unafraid of dawn.
On these days, roses do not bloom alone
they carry the weight of waiting hands,
of whispered names folded into petals,
of letters unsent but still understood.
The air hums with the ache of tenderness,
a rhythm traced in quiet glances,
in fingers that linger a little longer,
in the way a name can be a love song.
But love is not just the colour of today.
It is the silence after laughter,
the light that stays when candles burn out,
the hands that hold even in the absence of flowers.
Some days know the language of love.
Some days call it Valentine's.
