I Am Nothing Poem by Sumita Jetley

I Am Nothing

In the heart of the city, by the sea's embrace,
A Sufi kneels in prayer, finding his grace.
Roses bloom, their fragrance in the air,
He breathes in peace, releasing every care.

'Who are You? ' a whisper to the sky,
A question profound, a soulful cry.
The sea responds with its rhythmic waves,
In this sacred dance, his spirit bathes.

The scent of attar, a divine caress,
In this moment of peace, his heart confesses.
A love so deep, for the Creator's light,
In this union, his soul takes flight.

As day gives way to the crimson hue,
His meditation deepens, his spirit anew.
A pilgrim of the eternal, in silence he finds,
The essence of being, the tie that binds.

In stillness, he sits, a reflection divine,
A journey within, where the soul does shine.
'Who are You? ' the answer clear and bold,
A fragment of the Divine, his story told.
