I Am Sorry Asifa Poem by E.K. HARIHARAN

I Am Sorry Asifa

Her brown pupils witness a luminescent glow glimmering from a distance,
Her legs carried her towards the spark without her perception,
Everything around her seemed surreal,
Even her body was scintillating!

From far across a distance,
Alighted an angel with tears cascading down her cheeks,
As the angel scrutinized her fragile eyes,
She felt the torment and agony the poor soul went through,
The harrowing memories of the girl flushed in front of the angel's eyes....

As blood oozed down her legs, tears showered her cheeks!
Her searing agony was disregarded by the gods!
The red-blooded sadists were best described as barbaric ogres!
Her weary eyes began to fade...permanently,
Her forlorn last words..."help me"!

The angel jolt back to reality and cast a benign smile and whispered... " I AM SORRY "! ! ! !
