I am the girl you used to kiss on your car,
the one for who you drove so very far.
I am the girl who in you had nothing but faith,
the one who held you real close so you would feel safe.
Remember that I'm the one who got on her knee
with tears in her eyes as I asked, 'marry me? '
And please never forget that I am the one
who would do anything for you, give the moon and the sun.
I am the girl who was your life for two years,
the one that you shared with all your secrets and fears.
I am the girl you shared a bed with each night,
the one who you loved, the one that felt right.
Remember that I'm the one who loved you so much
and tried to make you feel better with each word and touch.
And please never forget that it was always me,
with whom you always wanted to be.
I once was this girl, you wanted us to be together
I will always be this girl, for always and forever.
