I AM VERY GENEROUS

I am very generous
I have given the world
Much writing for nothing
It does not want
I seem to want to give it more and more

But what does it matter
If I give it or not?
No one will take it
I can put it there
To please and fool myself
But the more I do
The same nothing I will do
As I have done already-

Perhaps I have given the world nothing
And in thinking that I was giving something
Was giving only to myself-
