He would swear he loves me
would accept his words with glee

I believe him with all my heart
though he offers rhymes of love
to some other ladies he fancies,
there will never be one for me

with all my heart I trust him with my love
because he says he loves me, still he
looks for other maiden to serve and adore
I still believe he loves me as he says so..

he gives lovely songs and tunes to any girl
that would assume to be elated to receive
he never bothers to give a single hymn for me
but he says he loves me and still, I believe him so..
