I Belong Poem by Stephanie Spray

I Belong

The light that catches in his eyes
the flourishing life and killer beauty
rips me up at the seams
God, the way the corners
of his mouth turn
when he smiles, just ever so slightly
and the way the sun dances off his hair.
I am submissive
to the way his body moves upon me
and the way his cheek brushes my cheek.
Skin to skin.

Heart to heart.

Life within life.

Love within love.

Nothing is as beautiful
as when two hearts collide.
The atoms of passion
build up a storm within me.
Within you.
Within us.

Within this universe,
I have found my place.
He is my sun,
His arms, the galaxy
in which I am placed and belong.

Yes.
I belong.
