I Called You Aloud Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

I Called You Aloud

I called you aloud
But I could hear only
The sound of the trees
Swinging in the wind;
I called you aloud
But I could hear only
The hoots of an owl that
In the light looked blind;

I called you aloud
And it echoed back to
Me from the hills standing
Erect at the far end;
I think you are gone
To a realm unknown
Not to return again or
May be to a new friend;
