I Came Home From School Poem by James Comerford

I Came Home From School

I came home from school with a smile
My work was done, my efforts rewarded
with a blow to my face.

Loud words from a disniterested father,
He never loved me from the day of conception,
no loving reception when i smiled, no cheer when i acheived
just a blow to my face
