I Can Dream No More Poem by Wasan H Ibrahim

I Can Dream No More

Rating: 5.0

Oh, Dream…
Nothing is true, or to say for sure;
Yet, I can dream no more.
Although reality I abhor;
And even more,
Our existence is beyond endure;
I can dream no more

Alas, Dream…What can I do
With shadows of faded hue?
Nothing to create but a fake show;
To laugh in numbness and figures to draw.
Although, a non-human,
A devastated nobody I am without you;
I can dream no more.

I've lost wishes and desires;
Farewell all love avowals,
Our dreams the World reviles;
Who cherishes ingratitude and denials,
And worships greed and our hopes slew.
I can dream no more

My expectations resorted to nothingness
From a railway there is no deviousness.
Let me abide nowhere, step-less,
Nothing to gain, nothing to miss
And kindly… behind you shut the door
For… I can dream no more.
