I can hear you crying
from that lonely place
deep within
The pain and sadness
is overwhelming
holding you prisoner
behind massive walls
Love is just an illusion,
a fairy tale
Always dark, always cold
The sun has not shone
in your lonely heart
You stay locked within
Although you have searched,
you have not found the warmth
you have been craving
the love that has eluded you

I can hear you crying,
for I am the sun
to keep you warm
I am the wind
that dries your tears
that sound you hear
is my heartbeat
It's not an illusion
Slowly, very slowly
let the walls fall down,
if even for only a season
you will have truly known
the everlasting touch of love
