I Can See You Poem by norman hale

I Can See You

I can see you
In your faded cotton gown
Sitting there in front of your computer
So wipe away those tears and frown

I know you hurt and ache
But I'll still be your friend
One of those few who cares
So smile and let that precious heart mend

Everything happens for a reason
Just like the day we first met
We were brought together by fate
Yet, you left like you was in a jet

I can see you laying there crying
Right there in your own bed
You might think I'm a bit crazy
But I can see this all in my head

I can see those eyes sparkle
As you read these very lines
So open up your heart some more
We both know everything's going to be fine

I can see your pretty smile
From a picture that's in my brain
So should I ever loose my big toe
I'll just have to come find you again

May these lines help you smile
And help that precious heart to mend
For you are always very special
At least to me, my friend
