I Can'T Believe You'Re My Mom! Poem by Jade Blaydes

I Can'T Believe You'Re My Mom!

A knife straight through the heart,
Is What it felt like to me.
When I told you the truth,
I thought you'd understand. Why couldn't you see,
I trusted you with all I was worth,
with all of my dreams.
I thought that I could trust you!
But not everything is always what it seems.
You used to be on my side,
But now you're on his.
Now you act like it doesn't matter,
like we're not even your kids.
You told me that you cared,
You said that you'd be there.
How can you lie straight to my face? !
You said that you'd believe me!
But when I was lost and confused in the dark,
You weren't there to retrieve me.
So, there I was in the dark, alone,
And where were you? At home, getting stoned!
Now I know that you don't care,
Because when I was lost, YOU WEREN'T there!

They never are, some things in life you learn. Mother is never a kind place to turn.
