I Can'T Write A Poem - Poem by Jacob Slavish

Forget it

You must be kidding

I don't know how

My desk is wobbly

My stomach hurts

I'm still half asleep

I don't have a pencil

The class is to loud

My brain isn't working

I can't focus

Time's up? Uh oh!

All I have is a dumb list of excuses.

You like it? Really? No kidding. Thanks a lot.
Would you like to see another one?

The poem sounds funny - just a bit funny, but on closer examination, it bristles with insight. It's a lovely poem depicting a typical off-day, when everything seem to go the wrong way. A nice piece of poetry well penned. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply
