I can't write you a love poem
Though I really try
Every time I pick up the pen
I just start to cry
No it's not you
It's nothing that you do
It's the path that I chose
That means I can never truly be with you.

I chose to take the dark path
All I know is my heart comes last
Because I can't tell you of my past
Sometimes I just break down and cry
And ask myself why
Can't I live the life I want?
The life I want is to be with you
And do the things I want to do.

There is so much pain in the world
Maybe too much for just one girl
But I will fight with all my might
To make the world turn back to right

The death in the world makes me cry
To see all of the innocents die.
I wish I could just fly
Away from the fear
Do you see this tear?
It streams down because of the pain
Do you hear them?
Screaming about their fears
Those poor dears
I wish I couldn’t hear

Love is a word that’s tossed around
And then your heart plummets to the ground
It is always being thrown around
It has made it everywhere in this small town
Everyone says they love you so
And then they say the have to go
It took awhile to show
But now your heart is dying fast
Lets live the good times while they last
It wont be long till things go wrong
So tonight I say so long
Signora and goodbye
I don’t want you around when I cry

And so my love the one thing I cant do is write a love poem just for you
