You said I was a work of art
You said we would never be apart
You said that I stole your heart right at the start

You said you would always be true
You said I would never be blue
You said that I belonged with you

You said you would help me bear the pain
You said you loved me in the rain
You said that I wasn't close to vain

You said that you loved me so
You said that you had to go
You said you loved me and it was a lie
Now I want to lay down and die
And to think I believed you all along
It's hard to admit I was wrong
