I cannot hide the fire inside,
Protectively,
Instinctively,
Positively,
It cannot be denied.
It finds expression in the oddest places,
Truly,
Unduly,
Thoughtfully,
My pain it erases.
And when the calm clears the air,
Calmly,
Quietly,
Keenly,
God's Voice is all I can hear.
Singing like the birds running their paces,
Among the trees and in between the spaces,
Of my heart, so filled with peace in this moment,
Another gift of a day which God hath lent.
And when my eyes turn downwards and burn,
I try to grow upwards as I were a fern,
Reaching the Light through the trees,
Love of Nature puts my mind at ease.
