I cannot sleep, nor find rest even for a while;
O My Love, I beg of you, come, visit me at my home.
Your love has driven me to madness,
You are both my slayer and my savior,
A martyr in the fire of your love.
Do not cast blame upon me,
Nor lay false charges at my door.
I was once a full, bright moon, radiant in your gaze,
But now I am eclipsed, obscured in shadow;
Lift this veil, I implore you,
That I may shine again with the brilliance of your light.
For what sin have I committed,
That you should hide your light from me?
Come, inquire into the depths of my pain;
At the threshold of your gaze, I shall fall,
A beggar at the door of a king,
Longing only for the grace of your attention.
I pray, count me also among your servants,
Like Ayaz to Mehmood,
I will serve you faithfully,
Bound by love, surrendered in devotion.
Who can endure the ember of love's fire,
When the flame is both heat and light?
You have kept me burning, smoldering,
Ever alight in the furnace of your love.
I was once a rose upon love's low branch,
Now I wither, fading in your absence.
Born as your lover,
What is life if not the pursuit of your love?
O, from where I came, I long to return,
To the source of all that is,
To the eternal embrace of your presence.
What you have written in my taqdir, I cannot defy,
The scroll of my destiny unrolls before me,
Yet I never knew the fate inscribed by your hand.
I live according to what has been decreed,
But still, I ache for your touch.
The garden of manifestation blooms in beauty,
Each petal a testament to your grace,
O My Love, I pray, show me your face,
That I may witness the full glory of your presence.
My God is in the heavens and upon the earth;
I know He wears more faces than the stars.
Each form, each soul, a reflection of His being,
A canvas upon which His love is painted.
Now, I dance in ecstasy,
For I have seen Him in the many faces of creation,
Each glance, each fleeting moment,
An encounter with the divine.
O radiant sun, your light shines upon the world,
A beacon for the lost, a guide for the seeker.
My eyes once grew weary in search of you,
But now they rest, for I have found you
In countless faces, in every heart, in every life.
The search is over, for I know you are here,
Present in the midst of all that is,
And I am content.
