I'D Die For You. Poem by Hailey Marie

I'D Die For You.

Something in your voice makes my heart melt
there's not a lot I wouldn't try to do
to understand just how you really felt
I wish you could see past me to the truth
but don't worry I know I'll see you in my dreams
but even there, I know you wouldn't want me
the only thing I know is how to do is make myself look bad
I guess you'll never really know how hard I tried
to trick you into thinking I was so much more than that
things we're okay before I ran away and lied.
Sitting alone in my room I wish every night you were mine
I guess it never really dawns that I'd only ever make you cry
from beginning to end I didn't know what was right
after all I been through, felt and learned
I still can't seem to even put up a decent fight
there is one thing for sure. Im not getting love I don't deserve
drowning in a sea of people I stand alone in my love
you seem farther from me than ever but you were never quite as loud
I'll give you my heart and trade in my soul
I'll die if it means it will help warm your cold
