I'D Like To Trade Places For A While Poem by Edwina Reizer

I'D Like To Trade Places For A While

How many shiny days have we had?
Probably much too few.
I never bothered to list them.
God, how fast they flew.

How many cloudy days came our way?
Probably more than a few.
These are the ones you don't forget.
I remember them, but do you?

Women seem to hold onto them too long.
And men just let them go.
They say that men are the weaker sex.
But I don't think that's so.

It's just that women are so emotional.
They can't give themselves a break.
Men can fall asleep so fast
that their thoughts don't stay awake.
