I Didn'T Do Wisdom Poem by Harlan Simantel

I Didn'T Do Wisdom

i knew wisdom
but didn't do wisdom
thought smart, did dumb

she gladly gave me her smarts
but in many a choosing
i ended up losing

intelligence is no measure of wise
i sometimes envy those average gals and guys
who grabbed the chance

while i missed the dance
still, miss wisdom is a loyal friend
always helps me get back on the mend

Very true, Harlan, knowledge (smarts) and wisdom are not necessarily the same thing. a good write. I enjoyed reading this one. Thanks Richard
