I Dine With A Fork Poem by Autumn Swift

I Dine With A Fork

***Please leave comments in how I can improve this, its just a draft I wrote hastily. THANK YOU***

I dine with a fork
Why?
Because I would not eat with my hands.
Why?
Because I will not bring myself to tendency
Of eating without proper thinking
To self-indulgence without apprehension
I will not-
'Starve' myself with meals of inadequate nutrition.
These big corporations
Making it easier to slurp your food through a straw
eating's now a task-
but its a task filled with addictive pleasure
that 'of course' you desire.
Because you're the host,
You're the one which has been 'played',
unwittingly undermined everyday by your very brain.
So no thank you
I'll dine with a fork today.
