I Do Not Want To Talk About Poem by priscah Mutswenje

I Do Not Want To Talk About

I do not want to talk about harassment
This ugly sin that keeps us in the basement
I want us to talk about old or New Testament
Where love, patients, humility, and care is found

I want us to talk about the art of sharing
We could share a ball, or food, or a tire while playing
We could share a pencil, or paper, or a doll when dramatizing
Because that is what makes us quite strong

Let us share the snacks mama packed for me
Let us share the book papa brought Jimmy
I will have a full stomach and learn from shammy
We can be better every day

It does not matter where I can from
Does it even matter how I look in form?
Together, let us be kind to perform
To our best level.

Can't we actually walk home together
Bring your hand classmate, for that way we are stronger
We can sit and work on the task faster
And we shall get it right when she share
